At Surrey Drug and Alcohol Care (SDAC), we recognise the vital role that professionals across various sectors play in supporting individuals affected by alcohol addiction and substance use, many with cooccurring mental health struggles.
Whether you are a healthcare provider, social worker, GP, nurse, police, ambulance, educator or other professional your involvement is crucial in delivering comprehensive care and support.

What we offer :
We can help give you the skills to identify signs of substance misuse and how to communicate effectively with those who need your help, whether that is individuals or their friends and family. We have a range of services that you are able to refer your clients in to.

We have our own in house free Telephone Counselling Service (TCS) and follow on groups.
Clients once referred via phoning our Helpline, self referral on our Website, or CHAT on line, will be contacted within 3 working days and offered first session within 7 days. We provide twelve one-hour counselling sessions as a minimum.
Clientele include:
- Substance users -alcohol and/or drugs including Over the Counter (OTC)
- Significant others, parents, siblings, grandparents, close family or friends
- Cooccurring substance use and mental health
- Drug Related Deaths (DRD) whether recent or historic
- Non-Fatal Overdose (NFO whether recent or historic
- Families
- Couples
For those wishing an intense 12 step informed telephone therapy, we have the SDAC Boot Camp. 2 sessions daily for 2-3 weeks, weekend check calls or sessions, follow on Boot Camp Recovery Groups via Zoom.

Telephone Counselling Programme
A tailored programme of 12 weekly counselling sessions. We offer people with substance misuse dependencies and their families a structured and individually tailored programme of 12 weekly counselling sessions. The service is free of charge to clients, although there is an opportunity to donate towards sessions. Referrals can be made directly by calling the SDAC Helpline or through health, treatment and other social agencies.
